While a choice of log in screens would be fine, seems to me that Anet's time would be better put to use in implementing in-game options that lend to the character and the overall game (what about the hair style/color choice-heh)
and other issues dealing with the actual game itself. You see the log-in screen for only a few seconds so is it that big of a deal if its not the scene you want. Log in, and get on with it.

Honestly, I think it is shameful how poorly Jeremy Soule's amazing music is being treated. The only way to listen to some of the original themes is to reroll a new character and take a stroll down Pre-Searing Ascalon...
Well, unless you have the soundtrack

I wish there was a playlist option to the log-in screen. This way you could listen to a complete playlist of GW music. At least this way your reminded of the old login screens since I think it's already been said that they can't be implented for Guildwars 1.

But I have to say that the "card" image did tickle a funny bone or two and I'll be thinking of that with threads I wish were not brought back. Thanks, Sir Seifus!

i liked the campfire. it was nice.
it made me feel happy, but still sad because Post-Searing is very sad.
I [obnoxious]LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED[/obnoxious] the music.
i definitly miss the factions login too. that nice little mound with an amazing backround of sea and land. then the beautiful asian flutist playing that song. omg. chills!!! CHILLS!
EDIT: Anet needs to sell the GW soundtracks on iTunes. I'd definitly buy them.

I have one character who reaches birthday one in Pre Searing doing dye farming, pretty much just for the prettiness and the music. After they get the present, I move them through to Ascalon, transfer everything , delete them and create a new char for the same purpose.

I don't miss the Prophecies and Nightfall screens at all. Factions was the best. GW:EN is OK, but the endless snow is getting to be a drag. I've seen far too much of it this winter. Why not a nice Dwarven, Asuran or Charr theme?

I mostly agree with you (except I value them added support for this sort of thing in GW2). It shouldn't be difficult to add an option for Factions and/or Nightfall background screens and either one or both would be appreciated.
